Back then I had a Fiat 600 and I ran it pretty much wide open from
TX, to PA.  But can't remember how fast it ran. Course it was new too.
   I promise you the Honda 600 is much easier to drive even when 18 wheelers come roaring by.  I guess it's the front wheel drive & front engine.
   Something I'm wondering about is whether I need Front Struts.  I don't get any bounce pushing down on the fender or driving.  Yet if I so much as hit one of the little line reflectors or chug hole it's thud as if it bottomed out.  Drives straight & true just kinda rough.  Ideas??????????

That reminds me of the time I was on the interstate bucking a headwind and couldn't get it over 60mph.
I caught a draft from an 18 wheeler and was cruising along at half throttle and 70mph about 10 feet behind him... until the state trooper saw me.

Ahhh... the good 'ol days....
Draft going up the hills - and get the heck outa the way and watch their spinning lugnuts going down.....  but never did catch that blonde in a red Corvette

Actually......... I believe that's where the term "Young-n-Dumb" came from ;)
......or was it from driving down sidewalks !? ........but that was back in the early 80s
Nowadays, I'll still open her up on the highway (or race track)..... but I prefer the winding country roads.... and have increased my following distance considerably around town.
I've removed and bypassed the brake booster and the rears lock up if I break hard.
Mike says ya gotta keep these puppies on the road, and I can say that taking mine out at least once a week (long as the roads are dry) has decreased maintanance required from letting them sit.

ahh my first honda had 6" wide mags great for the straight freeways but the winding roads that was another thing... sold that one so after many fond dreams i'm fixing this "tired puppy". dean
