Hi Ian;
Your information is incorrect, the retractable seat belt you are
speaking of was a Jan. 1972 innovation to both of the Honda 600's (Sedan
and Coupe) and standard equipment for both models at that time. The lap
and shoulder harness without the retracting mechanism was standard for the
front passenger seats, with only lap belts for the rear. Only the rear
passenger shoulder harness was an option for all Honda 600's. However both
bolt up the same and the shoulder strap can be placed below the rear window
or above it.
Standard equipment is listed on the window sticker as NC or no charge.
