Search Bar and Advanced Search Help

This forum's search engine supports these basic operators:

AND search — just type multiple words, all must be present:
example: brake booster

OR search — use the Advanced Search page (select cog wheel to right of search bar), select "Search for any terms"

Exact phrase — put in quotes:
example: "brake booster"

Exclude a word — prefix with minus:
example: brake -drum

Wildcard — use asterisk at end of word (minimum 3 chars before wildcard):
example: carb* finds carburetor, carburetion, etc.

Limit to title only — available in Advanced Search (select the cog wheel to right of the search bar)

Limit to specific forum — available in Advanced Search, useful for searching just the Yahoo Groups archive vs new posts
The basic search box does AND by default — so brake booster finds posts containing both words.
