Here in Oklahoma probably like everywhere, the number of rechromers is almost nil. The one local place wants $1450.00 to do the front and rear bumpers on a coupe. I simply cant afford this and yet I have 2 beautiful coupes almost back on the road.
Does anyone know of a more reasonable chromer? What kind of prices should I expect? My bumpers require only rechroming, no straightening or other work needed.

Try, the motor city area. I called B&L and they said that the cost depends on condtion, you can go to there web site and send pictures.
UPS cost should not be bad.

Richard, Theres a company in Cuba, Missouri that I've heard does pretty good work. I dont know the name but you could probably Google him.
If you're on FB, ask for a recommendation . You should get some responses from that. Hope this helps.

Around the Buffalo NY area that`s about the going rate. $500 plus per bumper. Overriders and guards extra.

I had exactly the same issue. Price was crazy. So I looked into what powder coating. They have one called chrome. Now its not chrome but it is a very high gloss silver. I had all 4 wheels done and both bumpers along with the front hoop and turn signal backs.
The guy did it for $40.00 a wheel and not much more per bumper. They look very nice. They were straight but the chrome was shot and this really worked. I just didn't want to spend $1,500. So with the matching wheels which now look way better then the factory new ones did ,I was happy. Maybe something to look into.

It all deals with the amount of time they have to put into it. If there is a local company that will work with you to clean allow you to get the dents out and sand, then take the piece back to be copper plated then you take it back and sand smooth again, then have them to nickel plate give it back to you to polish for chrome plating they will turn out very nice. And the price will be really low. It’s find a shop that will work with you.

I paid 1200 about 10 years ago and still haven't put the car together. It's an expensive process.
