Hello Guys and Gals, I read somewhere/was told at some point that the Honda pump for the N, part number 16700-516-003 could be replaced/updated with the 16700-758-003 model. It's half the price as the 516, but I wanted to get some thoughts on the matter. We've repaired the pump on mine too many times to count and it's time...
Thoughts? Thank you!

Replacement Fuel Pump
Re: Replacement Fuel Pump
The pump works perfectly, just needs to be " clocked" before installing .

Re: Replacement Fuel Pump
I've never used the pump in question, but generally "clocking" the fuel pump refers to adjusting the inlet/outlet connections to an orientation that allows you to connect the hoses without binding or interfering with other components. I've done this several times with older British vehicles.

Re: Replacement Fuel Pump
Yes, clocking is a industry wide term that means item may need to be disassembled and/ or removed from it`s mounting bracket and oriented to the same as yours. Alternators are a perfect example. Electrical plug might be at 12, 3 ,6,or 9:00. If mine is at 3:00 and the one the parts store sends me is at 9:00 I need to remove the bolts holding both halves together them rotate one until the plug is in the proper position. Replace bolts and Viola, job done.
