Go to the URL below to see how to build a tool to compress the strut spring and change out the oil in a non-leaking Honda 600 strut.

The 1974 VW Beetle front shocks will work, but are really stiff.
But I found that for the Rear shocks for the Coupe and Sedan; The KYB # (on the box) is 55486 look to be a perfect match. I went to Pep Boys and cross ref. them to a Monroe Matic # 32113. Hope this helps.

Re: what replacement options are there for front struts and rear sho
Thanks Bill, for the speedy reply.
Im a very new and excited owner so please excuse my simple questions.
So just to make it clear the KYB shocks
KYB 343143 Excel-G mentioned are the closest compatible to the coupe/sedan rear. What vehicle is that for?
And "front" 1974 vw shocks are also compatible for the sedan/coupe rear but run stiff.
What does the Monroe Matic reference to?
Is there is no replacement part for the front strut, just a refill? If it is leaking, whats the next option? Buy a non leaking strut and refill?
Thanks

The e-mail with the statement/URL below it the correct one. The other one is a changed part number or something as it didn't come up correctly. The one below is for the N and Z 600 rear shock.
This is the correct cross ref. for the KYB shock.
