Cars from the North West

Post by Dave Douglass AIA »

Okay gang I live in Maine and you can't find a car that isn't rusted here. We have winter, salt on the roads and ocean salt air. That said doesn't the North west have the exact same thing? Why aren't those cars rust buckets just like Maine?
I was looking at the build for the "nicest Honda" the blue one that been posted for sale and that is the easiest restoration I've ever seen, no rust repair at all. It takes month out or a build.

Dave when I got my car it was supposed to be rust free.. ha ha... I fight with rust all the time and I only take mine out on nice days.  Just had it in to repair some rust that I missed when I did the car so now I hope that it will be the last for a while.  I live about 8 blocks from the Pacific but salt is not used on our roads.  When I was looking for a car I saw a lot of under tree rust buckets that were in bad shape.
