Bill, found a good/cheap replacement for the rear shocks.
How about the front struts.
They probably are not available like most parts!
Maybe a shock rebuilding company could rebuild a good core.
Anybody look into this?

Front strut rebuild?
Re: Front strut rebuild?
Hi Lyle,
One time I used a pair of Koni shocks. But I don't remember the model #. I think the book which you have about the J & J performance pistons also mentions using Koni shocks. I am not sure if the article mentioned the part #.

Re: Front strut rebuild?
Hi Dale, The Petersen book about J&J said;
Front
"Cut 2 coils from the front springs, put rebound spacers in the front shocks, cut 1/2" from the rubber suspension stop, and change stock oil to 10 wt."
Rear:
"Add a 1/2" lowering block and modify a set of Koni motorcycle shocks to fit in place of the stock units"
No part numbers mentioned.
I talked to Tim Mings last week, neat guy!
He said, that John Modesti from J&J is still around.
I want to keep my coupe pretty much stock, maybe build it like a Hawaiian spec car. Better shocks but no lowering for me!
My front struts don't leak so I will be using them as is.
But we need to find someone to rebuild them when we need it.

Re: Front strut rebuild?
Right, Koni made both the Strut and shock for the sedan and coupe. If you can find a set they will rebuild them to factory spec. The cost is the same as purchasing a new set as that is what they will be. But Koni no longer makes them for either Honda 600.
