Hi All,
I'm finally getting some other projects out of the way so I can
start on this, but here are some pictures of what I got myself into. I
found all four hub caps behind the drivers seat, it looks like I have a
pretty complete tool set, in the trunk I found a brand new oil filter
in a old style Honda bag and the guy I bought it from just brought me
the window sticker! Way cool.
I do have the blower motor and air filter cover that are missing in the
engine pictures, so I am good there.
One strange thing, if you look at the pictures with the door panels
they appear to have been covered in plastic, do you think the dealer or
original owner never removed the shipping plastic? It is all tucked
behind the door panel and the door release handle trim piece.
The steering wheel is crumbling to the touch and both fresh air flaps
are broken off and I can only find the one for the passenger side.
I guess I will see how much air flows into this once it is running to
see if I need to worry about them.
It looks like they added some wiring in for towing it as some of the
wiring doesn't look factory in the trunk area or in the engine area.

Re: Here are some pics of mine
Wow that body looks like NEW!! Most of it re-chroming or re-trimming will sort, it looks in amazing condition just with mainly UV damage to the interior. I think those are the original plastic covers to the door panels that are supposed to be removed when new and probably why the door panels look in better nick than the rest of the interior. I wonder if you can get window film coating that cuts out all the UV and will protect your interior once it’s mint?

Re: Here are some pics of mine
Thanks,
It is only one I have seen in person so I nothing to compare it too but I am satisfied that almost everything is there on this considering the difficulty in finding parts. Almost everything is dry rotted on this, window seals, door seals, side window seals, even the fresh air flaps under the dash did not survive the desert heat. The door panels do look good but they have curled up some near the edges, but they are in great shape considering the rest of the interior.
If this runs and I can get it to stop then I will start going forward with items I can find or rebuild/re-produce, it looks like it is a blast to drive.
