Miles is on the mark for Viton, a man made product that will stand up to the Alcohol in the fuel we are forced to use these days. Most O rings on the shelf are Nitrile and over time will swell and leak. The Honda GL1000 kits offer the most affordable answer to the carb rebuild. Some one was offering an accelerator pump, but never did find out if they were any good. I have been testing a material and process to allow more height in the center post of the pump. Working units have been in cars for over a year without problems. But it is still early to see how long it takes for them to leak. 3 carbs, two running, one sitting in fuel (on a carb) to see the affects after it has dryed and then filled again. The ones Honda made are past their shelf life, meaning that new units are hard and will crack and leak when placed into a carb. Which is the problem. If it leaks then it could cause a fire and although this has not been the case with a Honda accelerator pump when it leaks, I don't want this unit to do the same. But with all the garbage being put into fuel these days testing has to continue.
