Looking for the cap/fuel filler for 1972 Honda 600 sedan. Might
anyone have one to part with? Any idea where I can find one?

I found a cap on ebay that fits.  The one that I ordered was $7.55 with free shipping, put it on this morning and fits well.
It was an aftermarket for atv and scooters, is vented.  Description:
Fuel / Gas Cap, Chrome
Plated Steel, measures 30mm diameter at the part that goes in the tank and 55mm diameter at the top, overall height is 46mm , fits many scooters, go-karts, etc... with metal fuel tanks, PartsGalore # I16
