Does anyone have any tips, tricks, procedures, rules of thumb, whatever, for fine-tuning the carb on their 600? I understand that there is more than one model out there. My coupe, for instance, could use to be "optimized" as it takes forever to warm up to the point where it will idle without the choke out. In the past I have simply toyed around with the idle speed adjustment, but I believe that there is more to know... any thoughts on this is appreciated.

Re: carb adjustments?
First things first... do you have the carb heater hooked up? There should be a tube that runs from either your exhaust or your fan assembly (depending on the year of your car) that will keep your carb heated.
Another possibility is that your timing is off a little. When my vacuum advance was off it would die while idling a lot. When I retarded the advance a bit (moved it back towards the windshield) it ran like a gem.

Re: carb adjustments?
A quick note- on my car it nearly always ran best with a can opener holding the choke out about 3/4" after first starting with the choke all the way out. :) Marshall Matt Timion wrote:
