Hi Jon;
You most likely cracked the plastic part of the fuel pump at the bottom.
And a note for all sedan owners. The approved way to change the fuel filter
is to remove the pump with the filter attached, and then reinstall it that
way. It involves two bolts and unplugging the pump and pulling two hoses.
But it is easier and you won't crack or brake off the plastic parts at the
bottom of the pump.
