There is a beautiful Coupe on eBay today. Does this car belong to a listmember? Lots of pictures, including one that shows chrome around the hatch window glass. On my Coupe, the glass looks like it was glued in with globs of silicone - it is doing the job but is plainly not "original". Even if I had the chrome parts, what kind of project is it to install the glass with them? Has anyone been through this process?
Thanks,
Steve
PS: I "inserted" this picture rather than "attach" it.
If it doesn't work I will try the other way...

Steve,
There is supposed to be some "chrome" trim around the glass. Actually
its some kind of plastic that has a chrome finish on it. It's no
longer available from Honda according to my dealer. I checked when I
had the rear glass installed on my coupe this summer.
What the local (very good) glass shop used instead was a black
plastic or rubber trim that is flexible and can be bent and cut to
fit, and I assume used a standard black epoxy to fasten the glass to
the hatch - same stuff they use on all windshield and back glass
installations. If I remember correctly they charged me $20 for the
installation, and told me it definitely was not going to come apart.
Looks fine to everyone except Honda experts who know it should be
chrome. Unfortunately I broke mine (its fairly brittle), so black
will have to do for now.
Sounds like you may have to remove the glass, get rid of all the
globbed silicone, and have it properly installed. If it was me, I'd
just take it to a reputable glass shop, preferably one that is used
to working on custom and collector cars in addition to the standard
stuff.
BTW - nice looking coupe on ebay.
