Tail light gasket

Post by Chuck Dean »

Hello, I need a set of the gaskets between the tail light assembly and the body on my 1972 Honda 600 Coupe.
Is there any place to purchase NOS or reproductions?
Thanks, Chuck  (mobile) Pleez x cuze enny tie ping or spelin air ores.

When I put my tail light assemblies back on next week, I'm planning on copying the original gasket shape and cutting it out of a left over inner tube.

I did that to sandwich the window in the medal rails of the driver and passenger window. Bicycle inner tube worked well.

They are form gaskets and 1/2" thick. Also they have slotted to fit taillight lens and reverse lens. It will be a little difficult to duplicate with inner tube rubber.

Hello, Bill told me that he uses 1/4 inch vacuum hose that he splits and puts around the tail light housing. Then he uses car wax to shine it like new.
I'll stick with his idea... He's build a lot of these cars.

That is what I used. Cut it a bit longer, mine shrunk about an eight of an inch

Excellent, Bill. Thanks for the link. I downloaded the pdf for reference. I need rear quarter window gaskets for one of my sedans.
