Got all the tires to hold air and sprayed the wheels chrome look paint. The 1st step in my restoration guide is getting all the tires to hold air. Sounds simple don't it ? Luckily I had some used tubes. I power wire brushed all the insides of the rims from flaking rust. I actually was able to piece together a set of old used not too cracked Michelin X's, so all four tires match. What a treat!. Now we roll it off the trailer and into "restoration row"...... enjoy the time lapse video, and some sweet classic Milli Vanilli instrumental serenade

I know. They were a GREAT tire. Mine are cracked, but still look pretty good. In a sentimental way they look perfect!

We were able to get all 4 BRAND new tires through LES SCHWAB...so anyone looking for tires I HIGHLY reccommend LES SCHWAB.

Sure Mark,
Those Michelins are so great, I had two blowouts with them on the same day (in transit to Eugene OR). Whatever tread is left is not worth the risk.
