I'm new to the world of Honda 600's, but not to Hondas. My first car was a '79 1200 Civic that I bought in 1988. When I went off to college in 1989 I saw a 600 sedan for the fist time and have wanted one ever since. I came close to buying one or two over the years, but the deals always fell through and I went on to other things. I've owned several other Civics over the years.....my last one was an '04 Coupe that I bought new. Anyway, about a month ago I found a blue '71 sedan at a local dealer and bought it. Less than 2 weeks later a yellow '71 sedan followed me home. I now have two and I'm still looking for more! :)
The blue car actually fired up when I hooked up an auxilliary gas tank and appears to have a good running engine. Unfortunately, it sat for 15 years with a full tank of gas and it gummed up everything pretty good. I pulled the carb apart and cleaned it out and I pulled the tank to get it hot tanked. It looks brand new now and the pick up tube is no longer plugged solid.
I'm sure I will have many, many questions as I work to get both on the road. I have already been in contact with a fewof teh Honda gurus
