coker tire in TN
The Last time I needed a set of tires I got them from Coker Tire in
TN. They were pricy Michelins but they work. I think they may have
had some Kumho sets in a while back as well....I just don't know what
if anything that they have. I was told (about 7 years ago) that they
bought the mold from michelin on the 145 sr 10 size and made them
themselves. Good luck!

Re: coker tire in TN
My local tire shop sells the Kumhos for $24.00 each, though they have to order them, it takes only a week...They also mounted them too, no balancing, for another $6.00...Dan

where are you located, and what tire shop was it? My local Kumho
dealer couldn't even special order the 10" tires.

Re: coker tire in TN
It cost aprox $70.00 to ship five of them to California about 3 weeks ago.
I just tied them together and shrink wrapped them.

I purchased ten of these from an ebay seller a while back, and they
are some decent tires for this purpose (and pretty resonably priced).
the only problem I had was mounting them. since the 600 wheels dont
have the inner bead lip (that thing that causes most tires to 'pop'
onto the wheel), there is nothing to catch the and hold it in place
aside from airpressure alone.
the camacs I got (all ten of them) were molded in a way as to put the
inner and outer bead edges about an inch and half apart. this was not
enough to let the tires catch the inside of the wheel and allow for
any pressure to build in the tire. i had to leave the tires in the
sun for a couple days with glass bottles crammed in between the beads
to try to stretch the tires out enough to want to catch air.
(it probably didn't help that i had just had the wheels powder-
coated, making them fairly slick)
once I got them mounted (took three of us squeezing the tread in to
flare the beads out enough) they worked great, and the other six are
sitting in my shop with bottles in them waiting for me to find enough
tubes for one of my 360s.
