For your air conditioner,  you might consider using a thermoelectric cooler (peltier junction) similar to what is found in the electronic beverage coolers.  Maybe you could take two baseball caps (with a Honda logo), place the thermoelectric coolers inside the caps,  wire up the system and then when you and your passenger hop in the car,  you can put on your "cool caps" which will keep your heads cool during the hot summer days.
Maybe you could expand it into a "cool suit" based on the fireproof suits the race drivers wear and install the thermoelectric cooler.
If you don't like that idea,  consider removing the Honda 600 fan assembly,  replace with an electric fan, and use an air conditioner from a Geo Metro.  The compressor can run off the pulley (where the original fan was connected) and the space vacated by the original 600 fan can house the remaining portions of the air conditioner system and have access to the air inlet to the car.
