lost keys need new ones

Post by devobrew »

Hello All;
Well I pulled a boner and never made another set of keys for my
AZ600 and now I have lost them (I suspect my ferret has stashed
em). What would be the recommended course of action. any one selling an
ignition key and switch? the door keys I think I can get made locally
by just pulling one of the locks out of the door or hatch back.Any
ideas?
thanks; kenny

I sell key blanks, but that won't help much. Look in your owners
manual in the back. Sometimes the dealer wrote the key codes in
there. The original ignition keys had a 4 digit code and if you ever
had that key or key number you could get a key cut by code by a
locksmith like Hector. The door locks are hard to get out as well as
is the ignition lock. The gas lid will work on most any key that
fits.
An experienced locksmith like Hector can *impression* a new key to
fit your doors/hatch locks and a key to fit the steering lock. I
personally hate impressioning locks, so have been dismantling them to
read the wafers. I just did a couple for the Honda Wizard, Mr. Mike.
