Hey group(s),
My sedan has a bolt being used as the clutch cable pin, which is #9 in the picture below:

Can anyone tell me what size the pin in so that I can replace it? Also, does anyone know where to get such a pin? Does anyone know if any other years civic might have a similar pin?
Also, I'm looking for a few screws that hold the knobs in place (headlight, fan switch, etc). Does anyone know of a size or a replacement screw that works?

Re: clutch cable pin - replacements? 6mm
It's 6mm as I recall, did you try Honda? Last ones I made myself on
my lathe. They are not hardened steel or anything special.
Again, try Honda on the knob screws otherwise Global Metric or My
Metric.

Thanks Miles. I've all but given up on Honda for parts on the n600. I'm going to head to the junkyard this week and pray that the 79 civic station wagon or the 83 civic hatchback there use similar pins.

The nut and bolt is a perfectly acceptable solution if the bolt has a long
enough shoulder and you use a jam (capture) nut. The pins can be found at the
local hardware outlet (Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware). I have seen them at
Lowes and Ace. It is called a clevis pin.
If you can't find the correct size, you can buy one oversized and turn it
down.
Any machine shop can turn it for you or you can stick it in a drill and sand
/ file it down.
good luck,
Dale

Matt,
Don't know if you solved this problem yet or not, but McMaster-Carr
(www.mcmaster.com) has just about anything you could want as far as
hardware, and I almost guarantee they'll have a box of the pins you need.
