Registering N600

Post by radar4838 »

I plan on buying a 1972 N600 but as I was speaking to the seller he
said he has no title for the car and that is how he purchased it
from previous owner. If I buy the car would anyone know how I would
go about registering the car, would a bill of sale do? I tried a VHR
but none wont go before 1981. Anyones help would be greatly
appreciated, thx.

I know that when I bought my first car [1973 Porsche 914] it had no
title, but the state issued me one at my request when I showed them a
bill of sale.

In california there are forms you can get from the DMV for a no-title sale. It requires a copy of the bill of sale, and some information from both the seller and buyer. You can get it from the DMV, or the seller may have a copy, or you may be able to download the pdf from the dmv website.
