Japanese made tires are better than korean made tires, but the latter are way cheaper *H2 Johnny Grace
Jun 19, 2012 @'%2 7:23 PM Kevin Lister I've rode on the Kumho's for years and they are a smooth tire. They do wear a bit fast but they handle fine.

Hmm, I called them once and they said they probably would never get any more of them. But, that was a long time ago.
They list them as $106/ea. in stock.
A bit pricey. ;o)

Yeah. I'm not surprised.
Like I said. Many places advertise they have the tires but when you actually talk to them on the phone or you try to order them online you find out that they don't have them.

I did find FALKEN 145/80x10 Tires at MiniMania.com @ $89 each, have 4 on order, called prior to placing order and they had 8 in stock. Hopefully be here in 3 days. Not Kumho but something that at least rolls isbetter than the dry-rot it's sitting on right now.

Re: Kumho tires

One other aspect... Back in the early 70's I used to run Goodyear garden tractor tires on my N600. ( wide tires) They had a street type tread. I bought a few sets of these and they worked great. They are no longer made and no they were not DOT approved, but I wasn't much DOT approved back then either. There is available DOT approved golf cart tires nowadays and of course non DOT tires. Someone is going to jump in here and say non DOT tires will kill you and everyone on the hi-way but that is pure bullshit. Some non dot tires are racing tires rated for hi-speed. OH by the way, some will also say if you are in a wreck the LEOS will check your tires for the stamp, more bullshit.
