So I decided to not let not having that special tool for the castellated nut stop me. In an exploratory effort to see why my right rear wheel decided to NOT spin freely, I removed the wheel, the bearing cover, the nut's cotter pin, the nut (with a big 'ole vicegrip) and it's washer. Now, the book says to remove the drum. Apparently easier said than done. It is on TIGHT. Tapping with a rubber mallet produces no effect.
Have I missed something? How do I get the drum off? What to look for once I get inside? Am I barking up the wrong tree altogether?
