I am pleased to say that my mysterious loud ticking sound finally
stopped. This sound used to be so loud that it would turn heads and
could be heard through cinder block walls. In a desperate attempt to
figure out the noise, I tore the engine down only to find no evidence
of problem. When I reassmbled the engine, the sound was still there.
I was so fed up with the problem that I decided to drive the heck out
of the car til either the engine failed or the problem subsided. I
took the car on the freeway at a very high rate of speed, the engine
was buzzing from all the sound. Then, while driving, the sound would
stop, then return. The noise then stopped all together and hasn't
returned yet. I can't even express how relieved I am to finally have
a normal sound level. I want to thank everyone in this club who
assisted me in my fight with the honda from hell. Sometimes desperate
situations call for desperate measures, in this case it worked in my
favor (for now). Thanks for all the help,
