Thanks Bill,
You got a smile out of me and that's a pretty good way to start out the day.
By the way, I am a little confused about some of the members trying to get
their 600's to go fast. I thought the idea of having one was to keep from
putting your pedal to the metal, get great mileage, and save the engine.
Those engines were not the greatest engineering marvels of all time. I know
because I bought one brand new in 1971 and even then I knew that the engine
had limitations. That hasn't stopped me from re-acquiring the original 600
sedan I bought, but when I finish rebuilding it I am definitely not going to
take it out and try to go 80 mph.
I have another question. Have any of the 600 owners converted to electric
drive? I ask because I've always thought the 600 sedan would be a great
conversion with enough room for the batteries if you took out the rear seats.

I'm not sure if it's ever been done, but I bet it
would be awesome to have an electric 600, and the car
is surely light enough to accomodate the drawbacks of
electric... sounds like something cool to try!
