Door Seals

Post by Steve »

I hate installing new door seals on Honda 600's. Both the sedans I
have owned and installed new seals on did the same thing. The doors
have to be slammed and are hard to open. One set I installed in 1981
on my Honda 600 PU. I had to adjust the doors away from the body or
leave the door latched on first click.
Last week I installed new OEM seals on my new Honda 600 Sedan PU and
have the same problem. I tried siliconing them, but the rubber
absorbed it and I hope the seals flatten soon!

right. I used weatherstripping from J.C.W,and it was a little to
tall, and had to adust door and or fender, and then work the pinchweld
or flange inwards with a hammer and dolly. Turned out OK,but still
have to slam the doors. Better off getting the right stuff!!!
