Jason, could you elaborate on how you attatch motor,do you use a
sling? How do you get it up at the correct angle? Are you lifting up
through the engine compartment? Riceburner006

If a long tongue jack is used as shown in the ANZ photo album section on
removing your engine. A normal removal from pushing it into the garage to
having it out in front of you to work on takes me 30 minutes. Replacement
is reverse and normally takes about the same amount of time. I use a
come-a-long to lift the front of the body off the engine and a 12 inch 4X4
to stabilize the front of the subframe, the saddle of the Jack is under the
center rear of the subframe, lifting the body off the engine is the only way
to go. And, moving the engine and subframe unit around on a jack is so
simple, stable and you have everything right there to work on. Also the
advantage of having the body a good 40 inches off the floor gives you plenty
of room to change the fuel filter on the sedans and clean up the engine
compartment before you reinstall your fresh engine.
Take a look.

I use a chain and bolt it to the 2 holes on the back of the head.  Then hook the pulley up to the chain.  When I apply pressure to the chain with the pulley, I center the hook on the chain.  Then as I lift the motor up thru the engine compartment I guide it into place.  With the 1 ton pulley I can raise or lower the motor as much as needed to get the right angle.  Hope this helps.  I will take a picture of the set up I used when I remove the motor.  I am just putting it in to make sure it runs.  As I just did major frame and body work to the front end, I wanted to make sure I had the proper alinement.  After I know the motor runs, I'll pull it out to clean and paint the fire wall.

Jason,do you mean your lifting the engine/cradle assembly with those
2 6mm.tapped upper fan mount holes? You must mean some other holes?
those wouldn't hold ?
