Well, I just bought my 70 an600 less than a week ago. I have to say
that I had always like the cars, but never considered haing one.
Well, I just couldn't refuse the deal I was getting and a bought it
for $1000 off of a friend of mine. This friend had bought it for
$800, then put 4 new tires, cd player, new master cylinder, and did a
lot of cosmetic clean up. He gave me the deal because he got hard up
for cash (way to kick him when he's down). The car has 70,000
original miles, and looks to have been stored out of the elements. it
has nice paint, original iterior (driver's seat is torn), and has all
the original tools and owners manual. I have put over 300 miles on it
in the last week, without a problem, until this last friday. The
bearings on the belt pulley whent out and the brakes started to
grind. Thankfully, being an automotive tech, I pressed in new
bearings and modified some vw brake pads, now the car is back on the
road. Damn this little car runs good, I am impressed. I am missing a
few thing, but I am sure to come across then in time. well, my two
cents,
Colin

I will get a pic of it sometime soon. I am just happy that it's in
nice enough shape that I can actually drive it an not work on it.
Thanks,
Colin
