The radio here in central Indiana is talking snow! That might
just give a new bit of driving excitement to joy-riding in my 600
sedan. And maybe it's time to install that heater blower...
Are you West-Coast sun-lovers jealous? Your weather never changes
enough for this kind of excitement.
For you fellow Snow-Belters: Any suggestions on driving this
thing in the snow? Years ago I had a SAAB 96 in Maine. I put studded
snow tires on it(front wheel drive, 15 inch wheels). I claimed that I
could climb ice-covered brick walls with it. I DID outrun everything
on the freeway in a snowstorm. Back in 1969 everybody else was still
running rear drive. I wonder how these 10 inch wheels will handle the
slick stuff. Can't wait to try some doughnuts and see if I can do a
90 degree controlled spin.

the SF bay area we do get several weeks of below
freezing in the winter and 3 straight months of
freezing cold rain in the spring time. I only like the
weather from about June 1st to Oct 1st. I will admit
that we think 60 degrees is a cold snap, but it's not
naked weather year round either.

Re: SNOW??? CHAINS!!!!!!
Honda 600 Accessories manual shows snow chains. I sold a set of
pretty nice ones last year on eBay and gave away the others I had to
the same guy. These were real chains with binders, you can get snow
chains custom made for most size wheels. You may find studded tires
or snow tires at www.minimania.com/

Well, Joe;
Here in San Diego, where it almost never rains, and never snows ( until
you get into the mountains). There is a lot of great running when it does
rain. You have your black ice that seems to be at every intersection. Well
when it rains all the oil build up from months of cars setting at the stop
light, makes it slippery as hell. And driving in the rain over here is
just as fun.
