Both front struts of my 1971 sedan are shot.
Replacement or repair options?
Thanks.

Turn signal flasher module
What is an appropriate after market flasher replacement for the 71
N600? Mine only works so-so to the left and not at all to the right.
Thanks. John

Hi John, Do you think you are having a problem with the flasher or do you think your problem is corrosion in the wiring harness? Take a look at the sockets for the flasher bulbs and see if they look clean or corroded. Dale

Re: Turn signal flasher module
I'm betting on the flasher. It only clicks left side, no sound on the
right. I am, however, working my way through the sockets and checking
bulbs and power to the sockets all around. The question was "forward
looking," for when I get done and all that's left is the faulty flasher
module.
There is an after market one dangling under the dash but I'd like
independent confirmation from this wise group what a proper replacement
ought to be.

Re: Turn signal flasher module
Make sure all your light bulbs have the same value, I believe they
should all be 1157's I think 1156 is single element. As I recall, like
a Honda motorcycle, if the bulbs are mixed or missing, one side of the
vehicle will not flash, bad ground also, rusty sockets, also bad. I've
seen the rear flash really fast and the front not flash at all.
Appropriate flasher I have never found. Some have 2 prongs some have 3.
One is for the hazards the other is the turn signals. Don't confuse the
seat belt or key buzzer for a turn signal flasher. Good Luck -

Re: Turn signal flasher module
Thanks. This led to answers to a lot of other questions and makes the
wiring diagram more understandable.
I'm working on cleaning up the sockets all around, and getting good
ground contact -- like the rusty prong that's the ground on the rear
corner marker light assembly.
