Re: Summer / winter switch?
Attachments : The only Air Filter Box that takes a label has a squarish intake and a lever on the side with a flapper-doo inside that shuts off the hot air from the heat exchanger. If it has a round intake like in my photo it does not have the label. Miles

Re: Opinions on a survivor
I say do what you like with the car, what makes you happy. When you sell it and the next owner wants to restore it to original then let them pay for the upgrades. Your car has been repainted so it's not as desirable as an all original car unrestored example. Miles

Re: Oil suggestions?
I agree with Bruce on the 20/50 and have always used Castrol or Valvolene with some Slick 50 . I am in Santa Cruz area where temps rarely below 50F in the daytime. I had a customer who would bring me Redline synthetic when I did his oil changes. Miles

Re: Is my engine original?
Attachments : mc594-15688.jpg mc593a-15688.jpg Did you actually see the number on your engine or just look at the VIN tag? Usually the actual # is covered by dirt & sludge, it's located on the left side of the engine between clutch arm & cooling fan. In the USA it's like Bill said: N60...

Re: Does Honda have vehicle Registar for exact year of maunfacture.
The serial number on the car does not have a code built in designating the year of manufacture like modern cars. The parts catalog has the years from serial number to serial number to specify years/models which take what parts. Curiously there are letters affixed to the titles which are not stam...

Re: Brake booster
I looked up the unit you refer to, it looks pretty huge on the eBay listing from the seller. But then found this site: http://www.hydroboost.com.au/techtalk.htm http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/PBR-VH40-REMOTE-BRAKE-BOOSTER-HIGH-POWER-SUIT-DISC-DRUM-BRAKE-SYSTEMS-PBRVH40-/161311516980 Miles

Re: Brake booster
You can read all about brake boosters (or anything else) by searching the past messages. You will find all kinds of info and opinions on past postings. But to answer immediately I don't know of any other *remote* boosters available. Most people will tell you just leave it off, not me of course, I ...

Re: Melted Bushings...
I changed the subject away from the steering rack bushings to show the rubber quality of another Honda part that had melting problems new in bag. I agree every car needs the rack bushings replaced, but for me to supply them is a tedious task and initial $1000 outlay of funds, where I rather wholes...
