Hi John,
If the machine shop thinks the cylinders look good right now (minus honing),
and you trust the machine shop, then there's no reason to overbore it. As
they said, if you overbore it, you need larger pistons. Overboring lets you
clean up a cylinder that's worn oval or scraped up.
I missed the beginning of the conversation, but I guess one other reason you
might put other pistons in is if you needed new rings but couldn't get them.
If Miles has them and that's all you need, you're in really good shape.
If Miles doesn't have them, eagle-hd on eBay is reliable and I see he does.

If you have no more than .003" clearance you could install new rings of the same size bore you have. If you can't find new rings or new replacement rings as Hastings doesn't have all the sizes then you could use the Civic rings but you would have to resize the oil ring groove to 3mm instead of the stock 2.8mm. Even if you have .003" clearance I seem to think you would hear piston rattle around 35mph.

hello dose anyone know were I can get pistons  1st over ?? and I have stock new rings for sale  as I got because  someone told me my cylinders was  good  as they are  not  but I got new hasting stock rings

hay Scott Walter I have stock  rings new  from hasting  as now I have to bore out mine found out  needs  new pistons  I sell them at my cost
