Sound insulation?

Hi again,
Has anyone put sound insulation on the underside of the hood on a 600?
Mine is a noisy little bugger, and was wondering about the pros and cons.

Chuck;
            Do you have the piston barrel fin dampers in place?  See attached and the long thin ones in front.
They stop all the vibration from the engine.
