Hot GPNW show

Post by Mark P Hatten »

Oh, how all winter we've wished for warm sunny weather!. Summer is here and so is the GPNW microcarshow this weekend. We have warm weather on tap ! We really do! This Saturday June 27th is the GPNW microcar extravaganza drive. It is my favorite day of the year. It is also predicted to be the hottest day of the year. The forecast is calling for hot weather all weekend, and particularly hot 100-106'f on Saturday. This could be hot enough to melt our microcars. Luckily, this is the 'no humidity' GPNW, and 60'f overnight temps will cool your microcar dreams.
We have made some adjustments to the Saturday microcar drive. We really don't want any vapor locking heat stroke issues with cars or guests. The vineyard drive will start early when it's cool. Drivers meeting @ 8am in front of the Grand Lodge, expect to leave earlier than in years past. The Lunch stop in Banks will have A/C , shady parking, and lots of cold drinks flowing. Expect to be back at the Hotel before the heat really builds around 2-3pm.
Once back at Grand Lodge there are options. For the hardcore microcar melting heat seekers, a optional extended vineyard drive tour is scheduled, and for those seeking relief  from the heat a cooler option of Scotties Ice Cream / Old Fashioned Milkshake cruise will ensue

See you soon !
